Interreg Atlantic Area funded SAFER partnership through its "Open Call" awarded 5 organisations in the Atlantic Area to implement Industry 4.0 technological solutions that provide efficient processes, improved and sustainable production.

Two of those organisations, CONSORCIO ESPAÑOL CONSERVERO (Spain) and Thaeron Fils (France) will implement the Flow Manufacturing software developed by SAFER partner Foodintech (Porutgal).

Flow Manufacturing software is a Manufacturing Execution System, an IT solution, for fish, shellfish, algae, processing Industries. An integrated system of software and hardware, designed for the control of production, quality, food safety, traceability, stock, picking and distribution.

Consorcio Español Conservero is a canning company located in Santoña (Cantabria, Spain) that has been producing high-quality canned fish since 1950. In the last 10 years it has become a reference brand in Spain in the canned fish segment. Consorcio Español Conservero is one of the largest firms in the process of the market of canning products in Spain and all over the world. The company has more than 39,000 m² dedicated to bonito, anchovies, tuna, and prepared dishes.

Thaeron Fils was established along the Bélon river (Britanny, France) in 1879 by an oyster farming family and has built up for five generations a successful business based on production and preparation of a wild range of shellfish. They have diversified their activity by investing in new production sites, close to the natural resources. As a result, customers can find a wide variety of shellfish with the best quality and freshness. Thaeron Fils sells a yearly volume of 3500 tonnes of shellfish and crustaceans, alive or cooked, on international markets.
