Results of the SAFER Open Call

5 organisations operating in the seafood sector have been selected to implement Industry 4.0 technological solutions
5 organisations operating in the seafood sector in the Atlantic Area will benefit of the expansion of the successful implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions carried out during an earlier stage of the SAFER or Smart Atlantic Seafood Clusters project. This will lead them into more efficient processes and improved and sustainable production.

On 18 May the SAFER partnership launched an Open call seeking for seafood related organisations interested in applying Industry 4.0 solutions. The call, which original deadline of 30 June 2022 was extended till 29 July 2022, has resulted in the award of next solutions to support the following seafood related organisations:

  • S2AQUA - Collaborative Laboratory, Association for a Sustainable and Smart Aquaculture, Portugal, IoT based solutions
  • CULTIVOS PISCICOLAS MARINOS, S.A. (CUPIMAR), Spain, Water treatment
  •  Thaeron Fils, France, Manufacturing Execution System
  • CONSORCIO ESPAÑOL CONSERVERO, Spain, Manufacturing Execution System
  • Oceanographic Center of Santander, Spanish Institute of Oceanography COST-IEO (CSIC)Spain, Water treatment
These solutions have previously been successfully implemented in several seafood companies across the Atlantic Area. You can find more detail here about the SAFER pilots.

The awarded organisations have already been informed and invited to a meeting to discuss and agree on the final terms and conditions for the implementation of the pilots.
