Interreg programmes are launching a series of articles at
Interreg.eu to highlight the
Stories of Cooperation For a Greener Europe on projects linked with the
Green Deal. This week's article features
SAFER project funded by
Interreg Atlantic Area.
The article takes us from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean to show how Interreg pushes forward innovation and sustainability of food products from land and sea in two different European regions.
“There is a lot of potential around the seafood sector in the Atlantic regions, so we’re working to increase the competitiveness of this sector”, says SAFER project lead partner José Manuel San Emeterio, from ERNACT. “How do we plan to do this? By introducing more innovation and technology to the sector and making this transnationally, bringing the Atlantic Area regions together”.
SAFER project, started in 2017, aims to boost the adoption of technology and transnational cooperation as a way to improve the innovation performance of the seafood sector in the Atlantic regions.
Thanks to Interreg for sharing the SAFER project collaboration story!!
